  • Used to be great but now…

    By xanwtf
Used to be the best but now when reviewing you can’t double check what the translation was that you answered. It flashes the translation really quickly and then goes to the next phrase in the review. You used to be able to see what you just translated and see the literal translation, now it just moves onto the next one and doesn’t reiterate what you are learning.
  • Great app!

This app is really cool for learning vocab and native phrases with video clips. Another supper cool feature 🔥that should get more attention is the aI chat bot. 🤖. I hope this continues to adapt but is great as it is. One of the complaints I have is the UI is a bit hard as it uses blocks/tiles to form sentences and there is no way to rearrange them without taking the blocks down and rebuilding the sentence. Great app with tons of potential. Just needs some polishing and some backend stuff but the material and idea is rad.
  • Nothing Loads…Except for the Subscription Button

    By Erik1219
Is this some kind of joke? Downloaded and literally the only thing that loads is the subscription button. Everything else is just in an infinite loading loop. Deleted and reinstalled - same thing again.

  • 💯% Awesome App!

This is one of the best language apps out there. I used the web version for a long time before the app and I loved it! Easy to use interface, simple graphics, and powerful tools help maximize language skill, both speaking and listening. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 👍💯
  • Wonderful tool to learn quickly

ᎣᏏᏲ (Hello in Cherokee and pronounced O-See-yo) I’m currently learning to read, write and speak in western dialect Cherokee, it is a category 4 level which simply means it is a very difficult language. I have tried and burnt myself out trying to teach myself the language until now. I’m so happy that this app is designed in a way to really make the language actually memorable by using multiple methods of reinforcement.
  • New look/update are horrible

This “new“ Memrise takes all the fun out of learning a new language. The native speaker videos and mock-conversations used to be mixed in with the lessons and not a whole separate category on its own. The design and layout of the app were playful and easy to navigate. It was more like a game that made it fun to learn instead of the home page of a virtual textbook which, by the way makes the app hard to navigate. Lastly, I downloaded Memrise because I wanted guided learning to learn a new language. Instead, this new Memrise has you “choose what you want to learn.” As someone who speaks two languages, I can tell you that “choosing” which part of a language you want to learn is definitely NOT the way to do it. I sure hope there is a way to go back to the old Memrise

  • Really buggy

It’s a great learning app, but sometimes all your progress will reset and the app won’t load at all. Even when you delete the app and try to login again. I had to start over
