Lingvano is great for learning, i learnt perfectly fine. But I am a minor who cant pay for stuff online, so when finished a section you’ll have to pay to continue. So i didn’t really like it.

Great app so far only just finished the first unit BUT… the prices 17.99 is too much for 1 month great app I know but the subscription is too much money each month, I’m already spending HUNDREDS of dollars a year for monthly and yearly subscriptions this is just too much more

  • An actual DREAM

I have always wanted to learn to sign. But it wasn’t offered in my school system and with my budget now, finding an in person class to pay for isn’t an option. I stumbled across this in an add. And did the first chapter because that is what is offered for free. I learned the greetings quickly and immediately dove into the free trial of o continue because I was so excited to keep going. Everything is explained so thoroughly and even if I’m slow signing right now, it’s so exciting to be able to understand what someone is signing to me. And I think it will be more than worth the monthly price until I’ve completed all the units. And it comes with three dialects to learn, so I could become multi lingual in sign. This is a true dream come true, and I’m so thankful that I found this app.

I’ve always wanted to learn ASL so I could teach my son. I’ve tried YouTube videos and Mrs Rachel for baby sign but I lose it quickly. This I do while my son is the bath and we learn together. The little video of seeing an actual person signing to me is so incredibly helpful and my two year old is excited and engaged. I made my husband download this app to! I do the free version but I might upgrade.

I myself have taken four years of American Sign Language, and have my degree in deaf studies. I was looking for an app that could help me practice and maintain my skill set and fluency in American Sign Language. However, I was immediately disappointed to find out that you had to pay for a $18 subscription just to learn basic sign language that is available to you free on YouTube, handspeak.com, etc. As a hearing ASL student, it’s incredibly disheartening that other apps such as Duolingo you can learn 100 different languages for free, but sign language is now suddenly a money scheme :/ Join ASL Facebook groups to practice with other students and even ASL fluent people FOR FREE. Are the creators of this app even fluent ASL users? Curious to know.

  • Odd you have to pay to learn how to communicate with people who have disabilities..

The lessons themselves are great, but the fact that you have to pay to learn how to communicate with people who have a disability is kind of stupid in my opinion. While the app teaches basic signing and a good way to say hi or ask if someone is deaf, it doesn’t provide more than that. Even if the fact you had to pay was dumb, the price that the app makes you pay is completely unreasonable. It makes you pay more than most people make after working for hours. I find that insane. I will say though that the idea is great, but the prices and the fact you have to pay is pretty insane.
